What is biohacking? 

“Biohacking is the art and science of changing the environment around you and inside you, so you have more control over your own biology” -Dave Asprey Biohacking is about optimizing and improving health through lifestyle, nutrition and health technology. The main thing that separates a biohacker from the rest of the self- the improvement world is a systems-thinking approach to our own biology. For many biohackers, this means making small, gradual lifestyle changes to increase well-being. A biohacker seeks to understand his own biology by measuring and monitoring the response. In practice, this can mean measuring, optimizing, and tracking changes in the amount and quality of sleep, for example, with the Oura ring. 

Why biohacking suits women well?

Women are naturally more connected with their body. During menstrual cycle, pregnancy and childbirth, women undergo changes in their body and hormonal function, which improves their sensitivity to messages of the body. Therefore, it can be easier for women to monitor their body since they learn early on the best ways to balance mood, cravings and pain. Women are also receptive to softer biohacking tools like yoga, meditation and mindfulness.
